Teachers of Infantile and Primary Education from Colegio Ábaco, Colegio Alameda de Osuna, and Colegio Arcángel Rafael participated in a workshop on the Synthetic Phonics system for teaching English. The innovative system takes a new approach to teaching basic language skills to non-native children helping them understand the relationship between letters and sounds in order to read, write, spell and to pronounce in Englsih. The workshop was presented by Gill Budgell, who has written on a Inductive Phonics, a method of teaching based on Synthetic phonics, which first teaches the letter sounds and then builds on them by blending the sounds to form words and phrases.

TALLER DE PHONICS PARA PROFESORES:
Profesores de inglés de educación infantil y de primer ciclo de primaria de los colegios Ábaco y Arcángel Rafael participaron en un taller de Synthetic Phonics para la enseñanza de inglés como segundo idioma.  La que presentó el taller fue Gill Budgell, autora del método de Inductive Phonics basado en el sistema de enseñanza con Synthetic Phonics. La innovación radica en la nueva forma de enseñar a los niños no nativos las destrezas básicas y la relación entre las letras y los sonidos para leer, escribir, deletrear y pronunciar en inglés. Gill Budgell explicó y guió a los docentes por este método ágil y creativo para su aplicación en el aula.
